What is Offline Scan Sync?
Offline scan sync is a ticketing feature that lets QR pass scanning continue even when the internet fails at the venue. The scanner app downloads the full guest list beforehand and validates each code locally against it, recording check-ins on the device. When connectivity returns, the app synchronises its records with the server, merging entries from every gate and flagging any conflicts.
This matters enormously at Indian venues โ farmhouse weddings, exhibition grounds and open-air garba venues routinely have dead mobile coverage, and 5,000 attendees on one cell tower can crush even good networks. Without offline capability, gates simply stop when the internet does. Well-designed sync also handles the duplicate problem: if the same pass was scanned at two offline gates, the server detects it on merge and reports it.
