Because the number cannot lie. Registration arrives through an inbound WhatsApp webhook, so the platform stores the sender's actual WhatsApp number as the registrant's mobile — nobody can type a wrong digit, register with someone else's number, or create bulk fake entries with random numbers. Every single pass is tied to a real, reachable person, which also means reminders, schedule changes and follow-ups after the event reach exactly the people who attended.

They can forward it, but it will not get the friend in twice. Every QR payload is HMAC-signed and re-validated against the specific tenant and event at the moment of scanning, and each pass is marked as used on first entry — a second scan of the same code is flagged immediately at the gate. Codes from other events, other organisers or previous years fail validation outright. The security is cryptographic, not just a picture of a QR.

Scanning continues without interruption. The Windows scanner client — built with Python, Tkinter and OpenCV — validates and queues scans locally when connectivity drops, and syncs everything back to the server automatically the moment the network returns. Gates keep moving at full speed, duplicate checks continue working within each station, and your attendance data ends up complete. For Indian venues — farmhouses, temple grounds, exhibition halls with overloaded networks — this offline resilience is essential, not optional.

You connect your own Razorpay account, so ticket money settles directly to you — Gatepasss never holds your funds. During WhatsApp registration, the visitor receives a payment link supporting UPI, cards and netbanking; the pass is generated and delivered only after payment succeeds, keeping money and entry perfectly matched. Refunds are issued from your Razorpay dashboard as usual, and the corresponding pass can be cancelled in the panel so it fails validation at the gate.

Yes — the platform is multi-tenant from the ground up. Each organiser gets a fully isolated tenant, and within it every event has its own registrations, passes, scan logs and reports. QR validation is tenant-aware and event-aware, so a pass from your January exhibition cannot open your March conference. Event management companies use this to serve multiple clients from one login, while trusts keep each utsav's data cleanly archived year after year.
