What is WhatsApp Chatbot?
A WhatsApp chatbot is an automated assistant that replies to customer messages on WhatsApp without a human typing. Simple bots match keywords — a customer sends "price" and instantly receives the rate card. Advanced bots use menus or AI to answer questions about timings, delivery status, bookings and payments, and hand the chat to a real person when the query is too complex to automate.
For an Indian shop the biggest benefit is answering at 11 pm when the counter is closed — studies show most customers buy from whoever replies first. A tuition class, for instance, can let a bot handle "fees kitni hai" and "timing kya hai" automatically, which typically covers 60 to 70 percent of all incoming queries and frees staff for genuine sales conversations.
