What is Table Ordering System?
A table ordering system lets diners place their order themselves from the table — usually by scanning a QR code that opens the menu with an order button. The order goes straight to the kitchen printer or display with the table number attached, skipping the step where a waiter writes it down. Customers can add rounds of items anytime, and the system keeps one running bill per table.
For Indian restaurants the appeal is handling rush hours with fewer staff: on a Sunday evening a 20-table family restaurant may need six waiters just for order-taking, while self-ordering lets three staff focus on serving. Orders arrive exactly as the customer typed them, cutting wrong-dish disputes, and gentle upsell prompts like "add cheese for ₹30" work on every single order without any waiter training.
