What is AK VPN?
Every shop with CCTV, every office with a billing PC and every engineer with a server faces the same wall: you are away, and you need to see or control something that sits on a private connection with no static IP. The usual answers are all bad — pay the ISP monthly for a static IP, open risky ports to the whole internet, or depend on a foreign P2P cloud app that stops working the day its servers have a problem. AK VPN takes a different road. It joins your phone, laptop, office computers, cameras and routers into one private, encrypted WireGuard network. Every device keeps a fixed VPN address, your devices reach each other from anywhere, and nothing is ever opened to the public internet.
The magic is in what does not change. Only traffic for your private network goes through the tunnel — YouTube, WhatsApp and normal browsing keep using your own internet at full speed, and the modern WireGuard protocol (Curve25519, ChaCha20-Poly1305 encryption) barely touches your battery. Frequently asked questions
Do I need a static IP from my internet provider?
No — that is the whole point. Your devices connect outward to the AK VPN server, so everything works on ordinary broadband, Jio or Airtel mobile data and any Wi-Fi, even behind CGNAT where incoming connections are impossible. You stop paying the monthly static-IP charge entirely. Each device instead gets a fixed private VPN address that never changes, so your CCTV apps, remote desktop shortcuts and saved links keep working for years.
Will the VPN slow down my normal internet or drain my battery?
No. AK VPN uses split tunnelling: only traffic for your own private network goes through the encrypted tunnel, while YouTube, WhatsApp, Instagram and browsing use your regular internet exactly as before. And because WireGuard is a modern, extremely lightweight protocol, it uses far less battery and CPU than older VPN technologies — most people leave it switched on permanently and forget it is there.
How do I watch my CCTV with it?
Install a MikroTik router (or any WireGuard-capable device) at the camera site and add its LAN in the panel — the DVR or NVR itself needs nothing extra. With the VPN on, open the DVR's local IP in your normal CCTV app (Hikvision, CP Plus, Dahua and others all work) and you get live view, playback and settings exactly as if you were standing at the site. Prefer not to run the VPN app on some device? Create a port forward instead, and check its Green/Red status in the panel.
Is it secure? Can other customers see my devices?
All traffic between your devices and the server is encrypted by WireGuard with modern cryptography (Curve25519 key exchange, ChaCha20-Poly1305 encryption). Every customer gets a separate address block and the server blocks all traffic between different customers, so your devices are reachable only by you. The management panel runs on HTTPS, locks out repeated wrong passwords, supports optional two-factor login and keeps an audit log of every change.
Which app do I need, and what if I cannot set it up myself?
Only the free official WireGuard app — from the Play Store, App Store, or the Windows/macOS installers linked on the site. Phones scan a QR code; computers import a small .conf file; MikroTik routers need no app at all because WireGuard is built into RouterOS v7, where you just paste a ready-made script.
